Upon arrival at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, you will be escorted to your hotel. During the late afternoon, you will start your visit of the New Delhi by visiting the famous Dilli Haat market, an open-air food plaza and craft bazaar.
This bustling city is the best combination of the age-old and the contemporary era. Delhi has two distinct parts – New Delhi, the city created in 1911 as the imperial capital of India by the British and the Old Delhi, the Muslim capital of India between the 17th and 19th centuries.

After your breakfast at around 10 AM, you will start your visit of the New Delhi architecture, starting with the famous Qutab Minar, a minaret that forms part of the Qutab complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will then visit India Gate and Rashtrapati Bhawan (President’s House) from the outside. Post that you will visit the famous Bangla Sahib Gurudwara, one of the most prominent Sikh gurdwara, or Sikh house of worship, in India. You will then visit the famous Lodi Garden after which you will visit the famous Humayun’s Tomb of the Mughal Era. In the evening you will visit the bustling Connaught Place, a frenetic business and financial hub, centered on a ring of colonnaded Georgian-style buildings with global chain stores, vintage cinemas, bars and Indian restaurants.

After an early breakfast you will leave for the Airport for your onward journey to Darjeeling through Bagdogra. Upon arrival at the Bagdogra Airport, you will be escorted and driven along the beautiful hilly route with the lovely tea gardens on the way to Darjeeling, which is a 2-3 hour drive. Darjeeling is a beautiful town known for the famous Kanchenjunga mountain range, which houses the Tiger Hills. It is also known for its tea industry and the Darjeeling Himalayan Railways, a UNESCO World heritage site. Darjeeling was once the summer – capital for the Britishers in India and is very famous for tea cultivation. The region produces some of the best teas in the world. After reaching Darjeeling, you will be transferred to your hotel. Have a relaxed evening ahead at the hotel.

ou will start your day with an early morning visit to witness the heavenly sunrise view of the peak of Mount Kanchenjunga at the Tiger Hills. A visit to the Ghum Monastery will give you a spiritual Tibetan feel on your way back. Post breakfast at the hotel, you will start your day with a visit to Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park ( closed on Thursday ) and the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute. You shall also visit the Tibetan Self Help Refugee Center (closed on Sunday), a rehabilitation centre for Tibetan refugees engaged in activities including production of handicrafts, Tibetan carpets, wood carved items like folding tables, frames, wall hangings and much more. You will get an opportunity to experience the British structured houses, engage in some local shopping including the varieties of tea on offer. You will also have the option of visiting the Himalayan Tibet Museum giving you an insight into the Tibetan culture and its history or visit the Peace Pagoda or the Japanese Buddhist Temple.

After an early breakfast at the hotel, you will leave for Kalimpong, which is a 2-3 hour drive from Darjeeling. After reaching the hotel and lunch, you shall start your visit of this town with Dello Hills, a beautiful Himalayan Hamlet, post that you shall visit the abundant flower nurseries present in Kalimpong with their exotic flowers and Jang-Dong-Palriffo Brang, one of the most beautiful monasteries located on top of a hill. A visit to the Durpin Dara Hills, which offer a panoramic view of the town of Kalimpong will leave you spellbound. You can shop for handicrafts and other artifacts at the Teesta Bazaar, which is considered to be a shopper’s paradise.

Post a relaxed breakfast, you start your day with a visit to the Kalimpong’s largest monastery, the Zang Dhok Palri Phodang which contains sacred Buddhist scriptures, located atop Durpin Hill, one of the two hills of the town. Post that you will continue your onward journey to the state of Sikkim, to the city of Gangtok. During the way, you will get an opportunity to see the incredible sight of the tea plantations. After reaching Gangtok and relaxing at the hotel, in the evening, you can take a walk around the bustling Laal Bazaar, where local farmers and artisans meet.

Post breakfast, you will go for a morning excursion to the Do-Drul Chorten which is a famous stupa of Gangtok, Rumtek Monastery, the monastery houses the rarest of wall murals and Thankas (intricate hand paintings on scrolls), silk paintings and statues. You will also visit the famous Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, a Tibet museum giving you an insight into the Tibetan culture and Directorate of Handicraft & handloom ( closed on Sunday ). You shall also see the Flower show and visit the Enchey Monastery. A walk around the city will give you an insight of its Buddhist and Tibetan culture.

After a relaxed breakfast at the hotel, you will leave for your onward journey to Kolkata via the Bagdogra airport. The journey from Gangtok to Bagdogra through the mountains and the ghat roads is blissful, giving you a beautiful scenic view. After reaching the Bagdogra airport, you will take the flight for Kolkata. You will reach Kolkata by evening for a relaxed stay at the hotel.

You will start your trip with a visit to the Eden Gardens and Dalhousie Square (Colonial Buildings of British Era), drive on the Howrah Bridge to visit Belur Math, then proceed to Dakshineswar Temple. Post lunch you will visit the famous Victoria Memorial Hall (Closed on Mondays), a large marble building dedicated to the memory of Queen Victoria, which has now been converted into a museum and is an architectural spectacle. You will also visit St. Paul’s Cathedral. Kolkata is also famous for its culinary delights, which is famously known as the land of maach (fish) and bhaat (rice) and not to miss the famous Mishti Doi (fragmented sweet yogurt ).
