Upon arrival at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, you will be escorted to your hotel. During the late afternoon, you will start your visit of New Delhi which would include going past and visiting historical monuments including the IndianParliament, Qutab Minar, India Gate and other closeby monuments seeped in history.
This bustling city is the best combination of the age-old and the contemporary era. Delhi has two distinct parts – New Delhi, the city created in 1911 as the imperial capital of India by the British and the Old Delhi, the Muslim capital of India between the 17th and 19th centuries.

After your breakfast at around 10 AM, you will be going to the New Delhi Airport to board your flight for your onward destination of Amritsar, a north western city in the state of Punjab, very close to the Wagah border and Pakistan. The city is home toHarminder Sahib, also known as the Golden Temple, one of the holiest in all the pilgrimages in Sikhism. After checking in the hotel and lunch, you shall shortly head to the Wagah Border to witness the Beating Retreat ceremony. This is a must see thing, an Indo-Pak retreat ceremony that happens every evening at the Wagah Border. It is an occasion that exhibits enthusiasm amongst the Indian and the Pakistani soldiers for their country.

After breakfast you will start your visit of Amritsar with a visit to the Historic Golden Temple also known as Sri Harmandir Sahib. You will then visit the historic sight of Jallianwala Bagh, where the pre - independence massacre took place under the British rule of India including women and children on April 13’ 1919. You shall also visit Maharaja Ranjit Singh Panorama, which is a delightful experience housing artifacts, manuscripts, Sikh weapons and much more. The city is also known for its rich cuisine and you will get to taste some of the best cuisines of North India, the most popular breakfast dishes being the Punjabi aloo paratha.

After a traditional Punjabi breakfast you will head towards your next destination of Dharamshala, which also happens to be the second winter capital of Himachal Pradesh. The city is surrounded by dense forests and beautiful tea gardens all around. The city is known for its Tibetan population, majorly due to the influx of Tibetan refugees who followed the 14th Dalai Lama. After reaching Dharamshala and checking in the hotel, in the evening you can go out to explore the Bazaars of Mcleod Ganj.

You will first visit the serene and peaceful, the HH Dalai Lama temple known for its prayer rooms and ornamental settings, not to forget the picturesque setting that the temple is located in. The temple is very close to the residence of Dalai Lama and HH visits the temple twice or thrice every year to give his preachings. Next you will visit the Norbulingka Institute, which houses the traditional art forms of Tibet and is a centre for learning the same. You will also visit the Tsuglagkhang Complex, a Buddhist temple in Mcleod Gunj, which includes a visit to the temple, the Namgyal Gompa and the Tibet museum, which tells you about the history of Tibetans and their occupation by the Chinese. You can also visit St. John’s Church and Naddi village.

After a relaxed breakfast at the hotel you will leave for your onward destination of Pragpur, primarily a village situated in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, also notified as the “ Heritage Village ” by the state government. The village is famous for its old charm with fort like houses, havelis and villas. Among the various places of interest include the Judge’s Court, Sidh Chanu Temple, Lala Rerumal Haveli, museums and local nearby markets.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will leave for your onward destination of Shimla, the capital city of Himachal Pradesh, which also is subsequently the largest city of the state, was also famously known as the summer capital of British India. Famous for its colonial architecture and churches, the city is also an educational hub. After reaching Shimla by late afternoon, you will check in to the Hotel for a relaxed evening ahead. You can also optionally opt for a walk at the famous Mall road.

You will start your sightseeing of Shimla with a visit to the Jakhu Temple which is on top of a hill. Trekking up to the temple is one of the most enjoyable activities. You can also visit the Gorton castle, which is one of the most austere buildings of the city. In the afternoon, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery while you aboard the toy train from Shimla to Kandaghat.

Today after your breakfast, you will head towards Mashobra, a town near Shimla, famous for the adventure activities and sightseeing. After reaching Mashobra, you will go out trekking in the lush hills and cool weather of this beautiful township. You can also opt for paragliding in the hills or engage in bird watching in the forests. Go quad biking, skiing and rappelling are some of the other activities, that you can opt for. Optionally you can just enjoy the Mountaneous view exploring the tradition and culture of this tiny yet beautiful township. You will be back to Shimla by the evening.

Today you will take the Kalka – Shimla railway, which passes through mountaneous routes, giving you some breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and villages. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site. After the wonderful experience and reaching Kalka, you shall be boarding your train for New Delhi.
