GOA is an Indian state in the coastal region of western India. It is India’s smallest state by area and richest state in terms of the GDP. It is a former Portuguese province.

Famous for its beaches, places of worship and world heritage architecture, the state gets a lot of domestic and international tourists round the year. Some of the famous churches include Basilica of Bom Jesus which contains the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Se Cathedral is another architectural marvel, being the largest church in ASIA. Another spiritual site is the Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception situated in Panaji. Another tourist attraction in GOA happens to be Fort Aguada, a well preserved seventeenth century Portuguese fort is a highly popular spot to watch the sunset.  GOA has some of the most beautiful beaches in the country.  Baga Beach is the most famous beach of Goa. It is known for the mouth-watering seafood delicacies, stunning nightlife and beach parties. Candolim beach is another famous beach known for its scrubbed sand dunes. Calangute beach is known for its authentic sea-food, Sinquerim beach is known for its water sports, Vagator beach is known for its cleanliness. Anjuna beach, Arambol beach and Morjim Beach are some of the other famous beaches amongst others. The state is famous for its seafood and their meal is considered incomplete without fish. The staple food being rice and fish, other seafood delicacies include pomfret, shark, tuna, and mackerel. Goan prawn curry happens to be a popular dish throughout the state amongst other delicacies.
